Hi what I would like to tell you today is what happens when you find out that some one purchased music or apps from your itunes account without your authorization.
If you ask to the customer support clarification on an unauthorized purchased and they will recognize it, Apple’s policy in Italy – don’t know in your Countries – is to freeze your account and stop recognizing your credit card as valid.
So you will have to call their call center and navigate in their call tree in order to speak with an operator, identify yourself and ask under your own responsibility to reactivate the account, but anyway your credit card will be not accepted anymore, you will have to change your method of payment.
That’s not all, if you try to ask from which of your devices the purchase was done you will not receive any answer, so you will be not able to understand which device was cracked (apple tv? imac? ipod? ipad?).
This is simply crazy, their system fails, they don’t tell you where the failure was and the only measure you are told to take is to change your method of payment. It’s clear that this doesn’t fix the issue as if someone will violate again your device they will have access to another method of payment. Of course you could use redeem card to reduce the risk, but this sounds to me like it’s better not to use your regular credit card on Itunes, if they say this.. better believe them.
